However, in reality, not all teachers can apply various innovative student-centered learning approaches in mathematics learning. This research took place at a high school in the city of Bandung to describe how mathematics learning using the expository method is implemented in that school. This research is case study research, with data collected using observation and interview techniques with both teachers and students. Based on the results of observations, it is known that learning is carried out in three stages, namely preliminary, core, and closing activities. In the core learning activities, the teacher chooses to use the expository method which collaborates with cooperative learning and constructivist learning, although in this case, expository learning is more dominant. Learning mathematics using the expository method is seen as more effective for use in learning because it suits the character of the students and the material being taught.

Keywords: Expository, Mathematics
Fitriana Eka Chandra Copyright (c) 2024 Fitri Eka Chandra 2024-07-02 2024-07-02 9 2 117 233 10.56013/axi.v9i2.2885 Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Project Based Learning Berbasis STEAM Pada Pokok Pembahasan Aritmatika Sosial https://ejurnal.uij.ac.id/index.php/AXI/article/view/2157
The purpose of this study is to determine if the STEAM-based Project Based Learning learning model improves students' mathematics learning outcomes on the topic of social arithmetic in comparison to conventional learning models. Pretest Posttest Experiment Group Design is the research design for this quasi-experimental study. The two classes with 20 and 21 students, respectively, that comprised the research sample were VII A and VII C. Both classes were normal and homogeneous. A t-test is used for the data analysis test, and values are rejected before being accepted. In this study, Thiagarajan's development model (1974) is used, which consists of four stages: Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. However, the development of mind mapping-based LKPD is only limited to 3D. The initial observation shows that students have different levels of mathematical reasoning ability. The result of the study includes the validity, practicality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the LKPD. After being validated by two validators, the validity of LKPD is assessed, with 3,25 as the average score which indicates a good level of validity. The practicality of the LKPD was assessed by the teacher's questionnaire, which received 81,25% as the average score, which shows that the LKPD can be considered practical. The efficiency of the LKPD was assessed by the student’s questionnaire, which received 86,27%, which shows that the LKPD can be considered as efficient.

Keywords: Students' Working Sheet, mathematical reasoning, mind mapping
Naufal Husein Adikalan Nurul Imamah AH Christine Wulandari Suryaningrum Copyright (c) 2024 Naufal Husein Adikalan, Nurul Imamah AH, Christine Wulandari 2024-07-02 2024-07-02 9 2 245 260 10.56013/axi.v9i2.2912 Tingkat Kepuasan Siswa Terhadap Permainan Truth or Dare Berbasis Problem Based Learning https://ejurnal.uij.ac.id/index.php/AXI/article/view/2908
Learning media that is less interesting can trigger bad responses given by students during learning. One of the interesting learning media for students is through games. This research uses descriptive quantitative methods to describe the level of student satisfaction after participating in learning using problem-based learning-based truth or dare games. The data collection technique in this research is in the form of a questionnaire containing closed statements and includes 3 indicators using a Likert scale. This research was carried out at SMPN 2 Sumobito with research subjects in class VII-C even semester of 2023/2024. The results obtained were that the cognitive indicators produced a percentage value of 79% (very strong), affective 79% (very strong), and conative 81% (very strong). The overall response value percentage is 80% in the very strong category.

Keywords: Truth or Dare, Problem-Based Learning (PBL), Level of Satisfaction
Hesty Ratnasari Iesyah Rodliyah Copyright (c) 2024 Hesty Ratnasari 2024-07-02 2024-07-02 9 2 261 271 10.56013/axi.v9i2.2908 Representasi Mahasiswa dalam Memecahkan Masalah Pembuktian Geometri https://ejurnal.uij.ac.id/index.php/AXI/article/view/2887
Problem-solving skills are related to other abilities, such as conceptual understanding, application of concepts, representation, and communication of ideas. When solving problems, we must understand the problem and can do this by providing an appropriate representation of the problem. Accurate representation offers a greater opportunity to achieve the desired solution. Therefore, research on students' representations in problem-solving is essential to provide an overview of how students form representations when solving geometric problems. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The research subjects are three students from the mathematics education program at Unipdu with high, medium, and low abilities. The results show that the low-ability subject uses pictorial representation and cannot solve the problem. The medium-ability subject uses schematic and symbolic representations but with less perfection in usage, so even though the solution found is correct, it is presented in a less structured manner. Meanwhile, the high-ability subject uses schematic and symbolic representations and finds solutions in a more structured way.

Keywords: Representation, Problem-Solving, Geometry
Dian Novita Rohmatin Sunardi Sunardi Susanto susanto Abi Suwito Copyright (c) 2024 Dian Rohmatin, Sunardi Sunardi, Susanto susanto, Abi Suwito 2024-07-02 2024-07-02 9 2 272 283 10.56013/axi.v9i2.2887 Analisis Proses Berpikir Kreatif Matematis Siswa SMP Kelas VII Pada Materi Bangun Datar https://ejurnal.uij.ac.id/index.php/AXI/article/view/2931
The creative thinking process is a step taken to produce solutions to problem solving. The sampling technique used in this research is purposive sampling. Credibility testing is conducted through source triangulation, which is used to test the credibility of data by cross-checking data obtained from several sources. The results of this study indicate that both subjects, S1 and S2, utilize real-world contexts to check the reasonableness of their answers, provide arguments, and set solution boundaries. However, the use of real-world contexts in interpreting mathematical literacy problems is insufficient to produce correct answers. Misinterpretation of the real-world context by both subjects leads to an inability to appropriately link mathematical concepts with their real-world applications. This study highlights that, in addition to using real-world contexts, a good understanding of mathematical concepts is essential for correctly solving mathematical literacy problems.

Keywords: misinterpretation, real-world context, mathematical literacy problems
Chusnul Galatea Nurul Imamah Ah Rohmad Wahid Rhomdani Anisa Dwi Agustin Sinta Nuriyah Copyright (c) 2024 Chusnul Galatea, Nurul Imamah Ah, Rohmad Wahid Rhomdani, Anisa Dwi Agustin, Sinta Nuriyah 2024-07-11 2024-07-11 9 2 326 337 10.56013/axi.v9i2.2843
