The results of the study show that the themes of teacher professionalism and teacher competence are the center of attention in the literature, which is closely linked to important aspects such as pedagogic competence, educator professional ethics, quality of education, and the social image of teachers. In addition, the analysis of temporal developments shows a shift in focus from fundamental issues to more contextual and applicative topics, such as strengthening writing competence and improving the quality of public perception of educational institutions. These findings show that the development of teacher professionalism cannot be separated from the integration of Islamic values, as well as the importance of building the character of educators who excel spiritually, morally, and intellectually. This study is expected to be a strategic reference for curriculum development, improving the quality of Islamic education, and forming ideal teachers in the perspective of Islamic values.
Rita Anisaturrizqi, Muhammad Akhyar Aji Saputra, Fitriyatul Hanifiyah Copyright (c) 2025 FAJAR Jurnal Pendidikan Islam https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ejurnal.uij.ac.id/index.php/FAJ/article/view/3988 Fri, 25 Apr 2025 00:00:00 +0700 INCLUSIVE ISLAMIC EDUCATION: FOSTERING TOLERANCE IN GENERATION Z WITHIN A MULTICULTURAL SOCIETY https://ejurnal.uij.ac.id/index.php/FAJ/article/view/4009
This study aims to explore the role of inclusive Islamic education in fostering tolerance among Generation Z within a multicultural society. Generation Z, born and raised in the era of globalization and digitalization, faces complex challenges related to cultural, religious, and ideological diversity. Using a qualitative-descriptive approach through case studies in several junior and senior high schools, this research examines how curriculum design, teaching methods, and the application of moderate Islamic values are integrated into Islamic Religious Education classrooms. The findings reveal that an inclusive approach to Islamic education—emphasizing the values of rahmatan lil ‘alamin (mercy to all creation), respect for differences, and interfaith dialogue—plays a significant role in shaping tolerant, open-minded, and diversity-appreciating attitudes among students. The study recommends strengthening the role of teachers as dialogue facilitators, developing contextual learning materials, and promoting cross-cultural collaboration as effective strategies to nurture a harmonious and pluralistic society
Muhamad Hamzah, Muhammad Mamduh Nuruddin, Septian Arief Budiman Copyright (c) 2025 FAJAR Jurnal Pendidikan Islam https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ejurnal.uij.ac.id/index.php/FAJ/article/view/4009 Fri, 25 Apr 2025 00:00:00 +0700 BEYOND THE TEXT: A DISCOURSE ANALYSIS OF RELIGIOUS ISSUES WRITTEN BY AKSIN WIJAYA ON PESANTREN.ID https://ejurnal.uij.ac.id/index.php/FAJ/article/view/4045
This study aims to analyze the religious discourse constructed by Aksin Wijaya in his articles published on the Pesantren.id platform. This process is continuous and serves as a guide for living in accordance with ethical values. These values are not only conveyed through formal education but are also reflected in literary works that embody Islamic moral teachings. One such work is Ayah… Kisah Buya Hamka by Irfan Hamka, which presents real-life stories rich in moral and religious values. This study aims to explore the moral education values reflected in the book based on Islamic ethical principles. A qualitative approach was employed using a literature review method. Data were collected through documentation and analyzed using content analysis techniques. The findings reveal six main categories of moral education: (1) Morality towards God, including piety, sincerity, and positive thinking (ḥusn al-ẓann); (2) Morality towards the Prophet, through the habitual recitation of blessings (ṣalawāt); (3) Morality towards oneself, involving honesty and courage; (4) Morality towards others, such as filial piety, helping others, and forgiveness; (5) Morality towards the nation, including patriotism and loyalty; and (6) Morality towards the environment, such as kindness to animals. These results indicate that Islamic-themed literary works can serve as effective media for instilling and reinforcing moral values in daily life.
Wulan Nur Safitri, Etty Nurbayani Copyright (c) 2025 FAJAR Jurnal Pendidikan Islam https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ejurnal.uij.ac.id/index.php/FAJ/article/view/4044 Fri, 25 Apr 2025 00:00:00 +0700
