CULTURAL COMMUNICATION MODEL OF ISLAMIC AND HINDUS PEOPLE WITH OGOH-OGOH CUSTOMS IN A PLURAL SOCIETY

This study aims to explore how the Muslim community and the ogoh-ogoh tradition in Sukoreno Village located in Sukowono District, Jember Regency, East Java, Indonesia interact socially. With a qualitative sociological approach, this study uses religious figures, ogoh-ogoh tradition figures, and village heads as key informants and primary data sources. Meanwhile, other elements in both communities are used as secondary data sources. The results of the study indicate that communication between the Muslim community and the ogoh-ogoh tradition involves both verbal and nonverbal means, with various network patterns such as primary, secondary, circular, and multidirectional. Social cohesion among the community occurs because of their ability to use adaptation or integration strategies. In addition, high intercultural communication competence allows the two communities to live harmoniously and support each other

In this scientific article, we conduct a comparison between the four major schools of thought in Islam, namely Hanafi, Maliki, Syafi'i, and Hambali. We collect and analyze the views and methods of each school of thought in various aspects of Islamic law, such as worship, muamalah, and jinayah. The results of this study indicate that although there are differences in views between each school of thought, they are all based on the same source of law, namely the Qur'an and hadith. In addition, we found that despite differences in legal details, all schools of thought have the same goal in implementing Islamic law, namely to improve human life and bring them closer to Allah. This study can help strengthen our understanding of the diversity of views in Islam and promote tolerance and appreciation for these differences. In addition, the results of this study can also be used as a reference for those who want to learn more about the differences and similarities between the four major schools of thought in Islam

Religious moderation is one of the determinants to unite the nation, race, tribe, culture in Indonesia which is diverse or multicultural by being guided by principles, values in religious moderation. Of course, the concept of religious moderation is very much needed as a guideline in each individual in having guidelines. The development and progress of the era in this era has a very significant impact of change that occurs in society. The biggest changes can occur in the moral, ethical, spiritual, cultural, and social environments. As a result, various problems arise that are faced by individuals, such as family problems, friend problems, and social relationship problems in society. With that, the concept of moderation (culture) of society needs to be used to become a harmonious life through unity and compactness and moderation in religion. Through the holding of the first night of Suro, the Sumber Ketempa Village Community is able to make religion a tool for national integration through cultural elements. The study materials that need to be discussed include: (1) how are the values of religious moderation (culture) of society in the celebration of the first night of Suro in Sumber Ketempa Village, Kalisat District? (2) How to practice the principles of religious (cultural) moderation in the community in the village night celebration of Sumber Ketempa, Kalisat District? The type of research used by the researcher is a descriptive qualitative approach. And the research method is observation and interviews

Religious moderation in diversity in Indonesia is very important to maintain social harmony. Indonesia is a country that has various religious beliefs, races, languages, tribes, traditions and so on. In such a multicultural society, tensions and conflicts often occur between cultural groups and have an impact on the harmony of life. The purpose of this paper is to discuss religious moderation in diversity, the role of the government in realizing religious moderation in Indonesia and the Challenges in Implementing Religious Moderation. The method used is library research. The conclusion of this study is that religious moderation plays a very important role in maintaining harmony and tolerance in a pluralistic Indonesian society. This study will discuss the values of wasathiyah or religious moderation that have become a tradition in the Nahdlatul Ulama which were actually initiated by NU figures in the early days of its establishment and continued to be maintained in the following period, especially in terms of thought. Previous studies on NU's religious moderation already exist, such as the Historical Roots of Islamic Moderation in Nahdlatul Ulama (Fuad, 2020), Contribution and Role of KH. Hasyim Asy'ari framing Moderation Reflecting on NU and Muhammadiyah in Realizing Islamic Moderation Values (Almu'tasim, 1019). Religion based on the Qur'an and Hadith in Indonesia (Farida, 2020), however, the previous studies did not present chronologically and comprehensively the roots of NU's moderate thinking, so that research can complement NU's moderation values and emphasize more on the analytical aspects of thought that developed in NU so that it is more conceptual and easy to understand

Penelitian ini membahas tentang implementasi atau penerapan pembelajaran yang berbasis bhineka tunggal ika, penelitian ini bertujuan agar kita bisa mengetahui betapa pentingnya saling bertoleransi dan juga mengetahui contoh-contoh penerapan pembelajaran atau pendidikan berbasis bhineka tunggal ika di madrasah. Penelitian ini menggunakan Metode kualitatif dengan Pengumpulan data melalui wawancara. Dari hasil wawancara disebutkan bahwa di SDN sukoreno ini ada beberapa yang memiliki perbedaan agama, yakni agama islam dan juga agama hindu, sehingga dampak dari perbedaan agama tersebut, pihak sekolah perlu menyiapkan guru yang berkualitas dan memahami benar tentang berbedaan dari suku yang beragam dari siswa. Dari perbedaan agama tersebut ketika mata pelajaran agama siswa dipisah, bagi siswa yang beragama islam maka mengikuti pelajaran agama islam dengan guru khusus agama islam, begitupula sebaliknya bagi siswa yang beragama hindu maka mengikuti pelajaran agama hindu`dengan guru agama hindu supaya pembelajaran menjadi lebih efektif.
