Peer Review Process

Steps in the Peer-Review Process

  1. Articles submitted to Jurnal Consulenza: Jurnal Bimbingan Konseling dan Psikologi are first assessed by the editor-in-chief to determine if the content encounters the journal's focus and scope. If the article's content is inappropriate, the editor-in-chief will reject it immediately.
  2. If the article adhered to the journal's subject and scope, the chief editor will select an editor to examine the piece for plagiarism using a plagiarism checker. If the article contains a high percentage of plagiarism (greater than 20%), the editor will reject it altogether. However, if the plagiarism is still assessed minor (less than 20%), the article will go through the review procedure.
  3. The editors will assign two reviewers based on the article's concentration expertise. The reviewers are Guidance and Counselling professionals. The review procedure is a sort of peer-double-blind review in which the reviewers are unaware of the authors' identities or vice versa.
  4. The author will receive feedback from two reviewers. Based on the suggestions from the two reviewers, the author should edit the paper.
  5. Once the revision is submitted to Jurnal Consulenza: Jurnal Bimbingan Konseling dan Psikologi, the editor, along with other editorial board members and the editor-in-chief, decide whether to accept, reject, or consider the article for a second round of review. When the Editor decides to undertake additional review, the authors will be contacted.
  6. If the article is accepted, the editor will send the author a Letter of Acceptance through the corresponding author.
  7. Furthermore, in order to maintain the credibility of the reviewers, the authors are free of charge during the article review process.
