Abstract

Broiler farming is a business that has the potential to produce and increase protein consumption for the community. Jember is recorded as a district that produces 18,718 kg of broilers. One of them is in Curahkalong Village, Jember Regency. The objectives of this study are (1) To calculate the business income on the farm of Mr. Andi Setiawan. (2) To determine the feasibility of business on the farm of Mr. Andi Setiawan. The research method used is the case study method. The object of this research is broiler chicken farmers in Kalong bulk village. The scope of the research is only about analyzing the feasibility of broiler chicken business. The sampling method is done deliberately, where the researcher only examines one respondent. The results and discussion are (1) Broiler chicken income at the research location amounted to Rp. 582,000. obtained from the sale of meat and the amount of production costs.   The data shows that the total revenue is greater than the total costs incurred, this means that revenue can cover all costs incurred in the business production process (2).The total revenue obtained is Rp.582,000,000 with total production costs (total cost) of broiler chickens amounting to Rp. 437,958,000. So that the obtained R / C Ratio index value of broiler livestock business is 1.32. The R / C Ratio index value of 1.32 is greater than 1 (R / C> 1), meaning that Mr. Andi Setiawan's broiler livestock business is feasible to develop.
