Publication Ethics

The publication code of ethics is a norm that must be adhered to by authors who will publish their scientific work in publication media. The basic norm in publishing is to prioritize morals, scientific integrity, and honesty of the author.

  1. Morals: able to distinguish between good and bad behavior in writing;
  2. Scientific integrity: upholding scientific principles, essence and truth, so as not to sacrifice them for any interest;
  3. Honesty: what the author does is in accordance with the actual objective conditions, and does not do things that should not be done in research / writing (misconduct).

The code of ethics that must be fulfilled by authors who will publish their scientific articles in the Bioshell Journal:

  1. Authors must uphold scientific conduct, understand the benefits / advantages and risks of published writing;
  2. Published articles are free from misconduct, including: Fabrication, falsification of data (falsification), and plagiarism or autoplagiarism. Authors are required to include adequate citations for all statements, ideas, data, which are not the results of their research;
  3. Articles published in the scientific field are in accordance with or relevant to the scientific field of the Bioshell Journal, namely Biology Education, Biology Science, and Science Education;
  4. Articles published do not cause conflict with certain parties or have the potential to disturb the community;
  5. The authors listed in the published articles are truly those who are competent and have made significant contributions in writing the article;
  6. The author does not do double publication of the article to be published (double manuscript submission) to other journals or publication media; 
  7. Parts or all of the published articles have never been published in other publication media;
  8. The published articles are original research results, ideas or thoughts of the Author.
